Although Cairo is known to be the starting point for visits to ancient monuments of Egypt , it is sometimes overlooked by tourists. Old Cairo, a concentrate of monuments

The ground elevation has somewhat mitigated the strong impression given by the Hanging Church, but the monument is nevertheless one of the most beautiful of the Egyptian capital. According to archaeologists and historians, the church suspended El Muallaqa dates from the 3rd century AD, giving him the title of oldest Christian church in Egypt. The building recorded many changes throughout history, testifying to his role, but it retains a unique and timeless brand tourists who visit the site. The majestic twin towers of the church from a height of 13 m, brings all his nobility to the building.
An interior of incomparable beauty
Upon entering the building, do not forget to admire the beauty carved door that reflects the expertise of the community in charge of design and decoration of the monument. Inside, we see the splendor and magnificence of the vault. The church also owns a total of 110 icons, the oldest of which date from the 8th century.
